Our Approach

In a continuing effort of providing excellent client service, our office has recently implemented a paperless agency management computer system. This system enables our staff to answer customer questions quickly and efficiently. This system also allows our office to make changes, review or add additional information to policies as needed. Keeping our client’s needs and coverage in mind allows Bissell Insurance Agency to provide the best customer service in Bozeman, West Yellowstone and the White Sulphur Springs area, Montana.

Enjoyable Experience

When people talk about our agency, we want them talk about how enjoyable it is to do business with us. We want them to talk more about their relationship with us, and how caring we are more than how well we provide customer service. We want them to say they have never done business with an agency quite like us.

This is our vision for you and how we want you to feel about working with our unique agency.

Clients Come First

We will always put the needs of our clients first and foremost. This is what makes our agency unique. We truly value the relationships we have with our clients and do our best to ensure they are taken care of.

Everyone’s lives and situations continually change such as buying a house, a new car, sending a child off to college, adding equipment to your farm, or adding an additional service to your business. This is why we have annual reviews with our clients. This includes mailing annual renewal letters in non-confusing language, reviewing the current coverage and limits and if necessary, making any necessary changes.

In the event of a claim, the Bissell Agency’s goal is to return you and your property to the pre-claim condition as quickly and painless as possible.

Protection Reviews

Today, life changes in a heartbeat. Without regular reviews of your insurance program, it is possible for gaps to form. The result can be disastrous for a family or for a business.

We go far beyond excellent customer service to a new level. Because of our focus, technology, and business-culture we are able to spend more time than many agencies on working with you to help you understand your insurance program and to help you tailor it to meet your individual needs. A very important part of this process is an annual review of your program. This review only takes a few minutes and will help you to feel more confident throughout the year so that you can focus on the things that are most important.

Please remember coverage cannot be bound or modified via voice mail.

Community Activities

While raised in North Dakota, it was Art's love of the outdoors along with the diversity of the area that brought him to the Gallatin Valley of Montana in 1989. Soon after moving, he started working at Bissell Insurance Agency as an agent. In 1997, while continuing as an agent Art also began managing the agency.

Art enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. Skiing, hunting, hiking and biking are just a few of the sports Art continues to participate in. Though Bozeman has grown immensely since 1989, it has managed to keep the small town feel that originally drew Art to this area.

Bissell Insurance Agency has been a big supporter of the Gallatin Valley community for over 20 years. Art volunteers and donates to organizations such as Eagle Mount, MDA, - Hope for the Holidays, American Cancer Society, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He has donated both time and money assisting numerous other organizations and communities to either help them meet their financial goals or to solve insurance issues.

The photo below was taken by the West Yellowstone Fire Department and given to Art in appreciation of the support shown to them by providing for a fireman's fundraiser in order for the city of West Yellowstone to purchase more equipment for their members.

Secure Communication

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act was signed by former President Clinton in 1999 and made fully effective on July 1, 2001. GLBA requires financial institutions (including banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, and tax preparation firms), as well as all of their business partners and contractors, to protect the private financial information that passes through their enterprises.

What does that mean for you? Consider emails as an example. Email is actually not a secure form of communication. That means that hackers and malicious programs can actually break into and read the content of your emails. Most insurance agencies have no problem sending sensitive data over email, including your social security number and other private information. This practice puts you at risk.

That is why we offer a secure online system for you to communicate with us. By using our site, we will not only keep your data secure but also help you work more efficiently.

This is just one example of how we will do whatever it takes to carefully protect your data. To learn more about the technology and procedures we have in place for your protection, simply contact us.
